Hello
K. Morningstar Photography was established in 2023 in the United States in rural eastern Kentucky, named after my late heart horse who passed away unexpectedly in 2020. It was in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains that I fell in love with this art taking portraits of people, places, and nature. Although most of my photography was casual and personal, in 2022 I was fortunate enough to take a semester at Morehead State University between my animal science studies and focus on photography in both digital and black and white mediums. Here I learned more about the technicality of my hobby and received a Certificate in Photoshop.

Along with photography I have been an avid horse-rider, competing in mostly western sports such as Ranch Pleasure, Showmanship, Equestrian Drill Team, and Barrel Racing. It was in this sport that I was able to build a community in my home town and get really experience the peak of what the equine community is meant to be, I owe it to everyone in my local 4H club both livestock and equine for they helped make me the person I am todya and foster this love for horses and agriculture that will always stick with me.
In 2024 I was able to move to Australia to visit and live with my partner in Narre Warren and here I really was able to dive into the world of Equine Photography. I've had the pleasure of familiarizing myself with the english discipline and capture amazing shots at competitions across the state of Victoria and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me in this regard.
